Gate Inserts

Our gate inserts provide precision metering where plastic enters the plastic injection mold cavity. They're carefully engineered to provide the desired fill rate and volume for consistent, quality results. Too large an opening can fill the cavity too quickly, creating air pockets or voids. Too small an opening may fill the cavity too slowly or incompletely, resulting in short shots. In addition, running with a too-small opening can require higher pressure, resulting in stressed plastic and weakened parts. Blowing out the gate opening can also be a risk, causing costly repairs.
